'The Jacobite' Sporran
The Jacobite- Historical Sporran
Past to Present
This sporran is a faithful tribute to 18th century Highland dress, made from hand aged, bark tanned deerskin. The same kind of leather used over 280 years ago. It’s strong, water resistant, and made to last a lifetime.
Made for Real Life
Tough enough for daily wear or a hike through the mountains, this sporran is built to handle the elements. The leather ages beautifully and looks even better with use. Every stitch is done by hand using waxed linen thread. The edge of the bag is finished with a whipstitch, just like in original Jacobite era examples.
Authentic Details
Rolled edges on the flap and belt loop
Diced basket weave pattern woven into the flap
Hand tied knots on tassels and buttons
Grounded in Research
This design was created after carefully studying original sporrans, museum pieces, and historical portraits. It’s more than a replica, it’s a wearable piece of history.
